About

Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX.  Graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth and Arlington State College (BSEE) – now University of Texas at Arlington.  Completed several courses toward MSEE at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

I’m married to a former schoolteacher and I have two daughters and one step-daughter, four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.  I live out in the country in Cool, TX, 45 miles west of Fort Worth on a wonderful 4.5 acre hillside spot full of oak trees and surrounded by 10 acres of forest on three sides. My wife and I enjoy living with three outside cats and a friendly beagle-mix dog, along with a family of raccoons that live nearby, a few hundred birds and about a dozen squirrels.

I’ve had over 30 years of experience in executive positions with private and public corporations in the North Texas area. Currently, I am the VP of Sales & Marketing for Cool City Avionics, a manufacturer of automatic flight control systems for helicopters, headquartered at the Mineral Wells Municipal Airport.

After college, I served two years of active duty as a lieutenant in the US Army; 90 days at Fort Sill, OK, and the rest of the time at Fort Bragg, NC, home of the 82nd Airborne Division.  I enjoyed my tour serving as Communications and Radar Officer at Headquarters, 2nd Target Acquisition Battalion, 18th Corps Artillery.  Following that, I served six years with the US Army Reserves, most of the time in Fort Worth, achieving the rank of Captain, USAR.
